This is perfect! Love this post. It totally resonates with me. I cannot keep up with Debbie Decorator! But as a blogger, I feel the pressure to churn out Christmas DIY projects one after the other. Personally, I don’t care if my house isn’t decorated, and we don’t even have a tree either. I have a few things out b/c my hubs enjoys it, but it seems to get less & less every year. I remember in years past, we were exhausted b/c we were going out EVERY NIGHT to some party. No energy left to really enjoy the holiday. Talk about family drama! Talk about the saga of the “perfect gift.” Been there too. You are so right…stay away from those people who drive you insane.
