Get ready to view the easiest pie recipe on earth…seriously. This no bake (duh – it’s in the title!) blueberry banana pie recipe requires no cooking skills other than the ability to open a can and slice a banana. It’s seriously that easy. Did I mention that it’s also yummy!

This is probably one of the first recipes my mom every taught me. It’s perfect for beginner cooks because there is truly no way to mess this up.
(disclaimer: I’m going to refer to our novice cook as a “her”. This isn’t meant to be sexist because I’ve got a hubby who is a marvelous cook and two sons who aren’t helpless in the kitchen either. But I’m thinking about how my mom taught me to cook so I’m using “her” because it’s easy. No haters, please.)
But your novice cook gets the chance to improve her cooking skills: she’s cutting bananas, spreading filling around over the crust, and using a spatula to evenly spread the whipped topping. Even though these may seem like little things, they’re how we all learn the skills we need for more complicated recipes.
Your little cook gets plenty of compliments when people eat her dessert too which builds confidence – which is necessary for attempting more complicated recipes in the future.
Now if you’re a more seasoned cook, this recipe is great because you can have a tasty dessert literally in just minutes. I love an easy recipe and no one cares how long a recipe takes to make…as long as it tastes good.
And this one does!

Questions I get asked about no bake blueberry banana pie
Does it have to be refrigerated before serving?
Not necessarily. It just tastes better when everything is cold. But if you want to skip this step a way around it is to put your can of blueberry pie filling in the refrigerator to chill before you ever make the pie.
I’m worried the bananas will begin to turn brown before we finish the pie.
The pie has never lasted that long at our house, but if you’re worried you can always sprinkle a little lemon juice over your banana slices before you put them in the graham cracker crust. You want to go light, though, because you don’t want super soggy bananas to make your crust soggy.
Do I really get to say I made the pie when all I did was dump things together?
Did someone else make the pie??? Of course you made it. It was assembled by you…at your house…it’s your pie. Let go of that guilt – no one said desserts had to be complicated.
They just have to be tasty.
