Wow! Did 2017 fly by or what?
I don’t know about you, but I’m perfectly happy to put 2017 to bed. In lots of ways it wasn’t a great year. However, one good thing about ending a crummy year is that you can look forward to a better one to come.
There are definite changes coming for us in 2018.
The first change you’ll soon notice is that our name is changing. A Woman in Her PRIME will soon be called Taming Frenzy. If you never feel like you’ve got frenzy in your life I want to say how jealous I am. My life seems to be filled with frenzy and I’m constantly working to conquer it.
And in analyzing my own particular brand of frenzy, I realized that most things I write about on this blog – and the things I want to help you with – also relate to making our lives calmer, more intentional, and just beating that frenzy monster into submission.
As with all things, though, nothing happens over night. I hope you’ll bear with us while we’re in transition from one name to another. It’s amazing how much goes on behind the scenes to make these things happen.
Therefore, a new year brings a new name and a slightly new focus.
You may notice that the menu labels have changed somewhat to reflect the change. I think the new menu is more descriptive and will help you find information that will be helpful. At least, that’s my hope.
I’ve also got a new ebook that I’d love to send you. Assess Your Life to Change Your Life is 20+ pages to help you identify what’s going on in each of your life areas and help you develop a plan to make your life the best it can be. If you’re not currently a subscriber I’ll send it to you when you complete the email form. If you are already a subscriber, I’ll include the link in subsequent emails. I will always make sure that current subscribers have access to anything new I offer.
Another change has to do with recipes. While the recipes I’ve previously shared will remain, I won’t be adding new ones. The reason is because we’re starting a new blog devoted to all things yummy.
Cooking in Self-Defense is actually Jungle Jim’s brainchild. He says that self-defense was how – and why – he learned to cook. The new site will still share quick and easy recipes and is aimed at the “cooking impaired” and those who are time crunched (aren’t we all?). We don’t have an exact launch date but will keep you posted. If you like to eat and want to get in and out of the kitchen in a hurry we hope you’ll join us there.
So that’s what’s new for us for 2018. I’m excited about the changes but there are nerves as well. What about you? How does change affect you? Are you someone who embraces change or do you try your best to fight it off with everything you’ve got.
Love it, Shelley! Good for you and I can’t wait to read more of what you have in store. I made some changes to my website look but not the name so I know what ‘behind the scenes’ is like when you are making the change over. Love the new look and am excited for you! Thanks for sharing with us at #overthemoon link party and have a great week!
Congratulations on these brave moves, Shelley!
Oh my goodness! I love it all and it reflects what you write about and your mission perfectly. Can’t wait to download your eBook. You have hit the ground running is 2018! And Cooking in Self Defense is brilliant!!! So glad to be back blogging this month and see you back too, friend!
Hi Shelley – what an exciting year ahead you have in store. I always think that people who change their blog name and focus are so brave – it’s something we’d all like to do now and then but we know the mayhem it causes in the background until it all settles into place. Wishing you all the best with taming the frenzy of changing blog names (and I’ll be keeping my eye out for that cooking for dummies blog 🙂 )
