I will be happy to be the friendly voice that tells moms to quit worrying about what other people think. But I’d REALLY love to be the voice that tells other people to leave moms alone! It seems indicative of our society these days that everyone feels free to tell everybody else what to do, and how they should live and think. Keep listening to your heart, Kyla. You know your kids – and yourself – better than anyone else out there.

It seems that today even complete strangers feel that they can dispense parenting advice and chastise mothers for not doing things the way they would. I think most of us know how important it is to listen to our hearts and do what feels right for our kids. But it doesn’t hurt to have a friendly voice reinforce that choice every now and again.
